What we collect, and what we don't.

Short version: Sandglass does not want your data, and mostly does not have it.

The app

Nothing you enter into the Sandglass app leaves your device. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no network call of any kind once you have downloaded it. Your date of birth, the people and children you add, and every weekly reflection are stored in a single file on your phone, and nowhere else. Delete the app, and that file goes with it.

This website

The taster on the homepage runs entirely in your browser. The answers you give while working out your own hours to spend are never sent anywhere — close the tab and they're gone.

Two things on this site do touch our server, both of them small.

If you leave your email address, we store it, along with the time you signed up, so we can let you know when the app is ready. We don't use it for anything else and we don't share it with anyone. Ask to be removed at any time by emailing privacy@getsandglass.app.

We count visits, anonymously. Each time this site loads, we record that a visit happened and when. No IP address, no cookie, no way to tell one visitor from another, and nothing that could be linked back to you.

We use no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no cookies.

Children

If you add a child in the app, entering their name and date of birth is something a parent does about their own child, and that stays on the parent's device under the same rules as everything else. Sandglass is not directed at children and is not intended to be used by them directly.

Changes

If anything here changes, we'll update this page and the date below. We won't quietly widen what we collect.
